Description

Quick ref of what are considered '2st tier' ailments for Pokemon.
These are slightly more severe injuries that do not pose a direct threat to the Pokemon's life/ability to recover. They do, however, require medical attention.

Quick runthrough:
-Heavy lacerations: Deep cuts that cause the Pokemon great discomfort. Such lacerations require proper treatment to avoid infection. Wether they are stitched or left to heal on their own depends on the species (aka, choose whatever form of scarring left behind you wish).
-Effects of spores: Many Pokemon are capable of causing paralysis, sleep, intoxication and so on with the use of spores. These damage respiratory paths causing infections, coughing, nasal excrement and so on. This slows Pokemon down as they have a harder time breathing. Such Pokemon should not be used as a main force until they recover. Said spores can also effect eyes. Pokemon with eye problems must be monitored and the eyes regularly cleaned out. These have issues with vision making them equally inappropriate for the battlefield.
-Burns: Varying in degree burnscause discomfort but otherwise how much they hinder the Pokemon depends on where on the body they are located. Best kept bandaged to avoid infection.
-Ripped ears: A common occurance in Pokemon battles, with many choosing to fight with their fangs and ears being a exposed part of the body. Generally does not cause problems, even if the ear was entierly ripped off. Some species that rely heavily on sound may find it more of a handicap then others.
-Missing tails: Another exposed body part, tails often get ripped off or injured to the point of haivng to be removed surgically. Minor issues in balance may appear at first, but otherwise should not be overly problematic.
-Lacerated wings: Any form of laceration on avian species must be closely monitored and well kept, as they are not as hardy as most quadrupeds when it comes to physical injury.
-Ripped wings: Bug Pokemon with ripped wings will have truble flying. Unfortunately in most cases such injuries are permanent.
-Ripped antenai: Bug Pokemon, and others that rely on antennas for proper function will have trouble orientating themselves. Most will grow accustomed to the missing antennas and continue normal function within time.

How ailments work:
-Those that have been assigned ailments are to pick one (or more if they wish) from the tier they were assigned, for one (or more again) of their Pokemon. You are free to choose a more severe ailment then you were assigned if you so desire.
-Contestants are welcome to come up with their own ideas if they fit the general 'severity' of the tier they were assigned, or that of higher ones (NOT LOWER THOUGH I'M WATCHING YOU >8u).
-All contestants are asked to note the medics with the ailment they chose and which of their Pokemon they chose it for. This will be jotted down and checked in your final round entry.
-They will be required to show this Pokemon, or at the very least mention it's ailment in the following round. Should the contestant fail to do so, points will be deduced for not abiding to protocol.

Happy hurting :'D

I especially like the thought gone into the concept of the Johto-Kanto war that you've got going on (or to come, I just now realized that you guys existed, but I'm not the most receptive of people about checking things now and then, so don't rage me or anything ^^; ). It seems very legit, and I especially like the idea of 'assigning' injuries. Very cool.

In short: You got my eyeballs watching, as well as my Deviant ones. :eyes:
